Working: Vocaloids' ages and items (and more)

Here I just want to recollect infos about the ages, items, and (if applicable) personality of official Vocaloids out there.

Note that some of these are indeed canon (and I'll note that later), some are widely accepted by fans, while some others are my approximation (because they lack official ages, or because I haven't got the info on those yet).

So if you see something wrong, please tell me immediately. I'm open to opinions and constructive criticism, although I'd like to remind you that since they're mostly blank slates, you just have to make your own headcanon if you disagree with mine.

Japanese ones first
P.S - when I said "general personality", I mean I took the default portrayal of them, not when they're in certain songs (for example, Rin in Daughter of Evil), although some of their personalities are indeed influenced by popular songs.

1. Meiko: 25-26 years old (well, she hails from Vocaloid1 engine, so she's kinda old).
Item: (especially One Cup Ozeki)
General personality: I'm somewhat undecided on her lol.

• She often acts tough and even manly, especially when alcohol is involved - but she can be a shapely woman when it's needed.
  
  • To elaborate the above point: I have another version of her, who is rough, hardened, scary, somewhat violent and sometimes morally ambiguous, but still loving; this is caused by the bad things that happened in her past. This only shows when she's drunk, though; otherwise she's clever at hiding it with her motherly wits.
• Generally a good and sweet, if sometimes radical and crazy, motherly figure to the other Vocaloids, especially the younger ones.
• Sometimes laments that there are so many young Vocaloids around her.
• Never badmouth (or worse, harm) any Vocaloid whenever Meiko's nearby - as it will evoke her wrath. The results... ain't pretty.
• Prone to scaring/impress her colleagues by doing many "extreme" things.
• She tends to be an angry person around Kaito - and when she's drunk, she tends to abuse him. In reality, she's a Type B tsundere (the "dere" type) who expresses love by being angry/abusive towards her love interest (while she's normally sweet to everyone else). Sometimes, however, Meiko becomes just plain sweet towards him, though she doesn't want to show it to anybody else.
• Hides a secret about "Meiko Sakine". Nobody truly knows who Meiko Sakine is; some said that it's her younger self who was more innocent, some others said that it's just a bluff made by her. Either way, it was (believed to have) been brought out in a conversation by Kaito, so people assumed that he knows some facts about it - but that issue hasn't been brought out since. Some have theorized that Meiko's constant abuse of him is connected to that, but nobody really knows.
• She only has a few close people who she can truly relate to, due to being a senior. But regardless, she adores them all dearly.
• She, Lola and newcomer Clara consider each others good talk-buddies. In particular, Meiko's always longing for Lola's cooking.
• Speaking of which, Meiko can be quite a glutton. Even more when she's angry. (reference from her "Conchita" song)
• Makes good drinking friends with Haku. Prima and Tonio often scold them for being crazy drunkards.
• Her genderbent version is called Meito.

2. Kaito: He's an unique case... He and Meiko were developed together, but he was released 2 years after Meiko. Let's just say that "he got his 'mom' preggers for 2 years". So he's biologically the "same" age as Meiko but he only knows that he's 2 years younger than her. (In other words, 24 years old.)
Item: (any kind)
General personality:

• He's generally an adorable, childish, little fool who's nevertheless regarded almost, if not just as, highly as Meiko is.
• Tends to be the butt of jokes.
• Helplessly and hopelessly devoted to eating ice creams.
• Always tries to be a nice guy and show a bright smile, even if things are looking sour. When things get serious, though, so does him.
• His interactions with Meiko makes other loids snicker and comment that they're like old married couple. He just says nothing on the matter.
• Ever since his debut, he's always trying to help and take care of Meiko, especially when things are going badly for her. That's where her dere side appears for him.
  
  • Oh, and apparently, he once said that him acting the way he usually do is what keeping her from being depressed all the time. At least that's what he believes.
• Feels indebted towards Miku because she indirectly makes him popular again. In particular, he also tends to hang out with her on several occasions.
• At times finds himself surrounded by girls or being an "accidental pervert". Being a (supposedly) innocent soul that he is, he can't really be blamed...
• Part of the "Brotherhood of Shion", a group consisting of experimental clones of Kaito by a research facility called "Shion Corp" and are on a runaway from said institution. Akaito (Kaito with red color scheme) appoints Kaito as the leader, although he's reluctant. Kaito even got a female version of himself! (Named Kaiko, btw.)
• For unknown reasons, has a tension with Leon. Bruno is usually the one to put them into a stop, when it's not Meiko or Lola.
• Part of the visual kei band VaNan'Ice (he's the "ice") along with Len and Gakupo.

3. Miku: 16 years old (this is canon)
Item:
General personality:

• Perky, buoyant & cheerful. That's for the basics.
• Be careful, though - she may not look like it, but she can be really tough and determined. It's also implied that she has a hidden dark side...
• Generally friendly towards other Vocaloids, showing no contempt towards everyone. In particular, she views Miriam as a good friend.
• While not a total idiot, she's shown to be airheaded. She's also somewhat lazy and tends to take things easy.
• Likes to buy negi (leek) from Akito (Kiyoteru's friend)'s veggie store. (This is actually canon, at least to the Ice Mountain booklet.)
• Lately she's shown some fondness of bacon-wrapped hotdog as well.
• Somewhat assertive and self-centered, trying to put her thoughts on everyone and be the center of attention.
• While everyone else (at least the younger loids) sees Luka as a respected big sister figure, Miku sees her as something more...
• Sometimes she finds it hard for her to talk to the opposite gender.
• Like Kaito, she's a source of clones, among the most notable ones being , , and many more. When she's asked about it, she's shown to be somewhat smug. "It's called pride, you know." Nevertheless, she just said that they make good friends.
• Teto and Momo of the UTAU sees Miku as her rival, and vice versa.
• In particular, Miku, Teto and Neru tends to hang out together. Their relationship is best described as "Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward" (from Spongebob Squarepants), respectively.
• Bears slight animosity towards newcomer SeeU due to her quick rise in popularity. Though they end up being friends, or at least calling it a truce.
• Her genderbent version is called Mikuo, though for some reason I like calling him "Mick".

4. Rin & Len: 14 years old (this is also canon)
Item: & as well as
General personality: I think I needed a bit help with this one.

• Both
  
  • They're twins who are devoted to each other; they always have each other's backs. Sometimes they also bicker with each other, though.
  
  
  • They sometimes can appear as creepy together.
  
  
  • They own, in their words, a "yellow big fat road roller". Some people think they're fans of Dio Brando because of this.
  
  
  • They're also subject of clones, though not to the extent of Miku or Kaito.
  
  
  • They're big admirers of Lily, even before she became a Vocaloid.
  
  
  • They hate to be called small, though Rin shows it more than Len does, and for different reasons.
  
  
  • They're opposites of each other in many ways than one. You'll see later.
    
    • In particular, whenever one of them sees his/her reflection in the mirror, the other will be their reflection - Len will see himself as Rin in the mirror, for example - and this especially freaked them out when one of them is going to change clothes or take a bath. Okay, maybe I'm just kidding for this one.
  
  
  • Oddly, despite the above, fans also give them genderbent versions, namely Rinto & Lenka.
• Rin
  
  • A young teen who's always eager of things.
  
  
  • Prone to causing mischief and scaring people.
  
  
  • I said earlier that Miku's somewhat assertive and self-centered, right? Rin's even moreso.
  
  
  • Somewhat possessive of Len, though that's just her showing her care towards him. In particular, she can sometimes be... borderline abusive.
  
  
  • Tomboyish, determined, strong (quite literally, too), and outgoing. However she's also stubborn, reckless at times, and a tsundere.
  
  
  • Often had to be hard-pressed to make her do something... especially by Meiko. (And even then, not always.)
  
  
  • Tied to the above, she tends to boss people around.
  
  
  • Has trouble in expressing her affections.
  
  
  • The only ones who can keep up with her wits are Ryuto, Iroha & Yuki, and as such, Rin considers them good buddies.
• Len
  
  • A cute little boy who's somewhat timid. That's for starters.
  
  
  • Is a lefty.
  
  
  • Often a butt of a few jokes, though not to the extent of Kaito - but as he told Kaito at one point, it irritates him so much inside. In particular, he's often forced to crossdress. (Probably tied with the joke I made above, lol.)
  
  
  • Has some kind of inner charm that pulls girls towards him. Rin puts him in check for most of the time because of this.
  
  
  • Tends to be bossed around by people, especially Rin. He really hates it, but he just keep it all to himself.
  
  
  • Appears serious at most times, and tends to point out some weirdness in people around him when no other people could notice. He's also seen as thoughtful, compared to Rin. He's quite sensitive deep down, though.
  
  
  • He's just as tough as Rin, he just chooses not to show it often.
  
  
  • He has a rivalry of sorts with Piko (though Piko just ignores him most of the time) and is quite friends with Oliver.
  
  
  • A target of Tei (from UTAU)'s dangerous affections, as well as Neru's.
  
  
  • Forms the Banana part of VanaN'Ice.

5. Gakupo: 23-24 years old (perhaps nearly the same age as Kaito)
Item:
General personality: In short, I'm inspired by Dante (from Devil May Cry) for his character, though not 100%. See the details below.

• Charismatic, cool and charming. There goes the basics.
• For all his charm, he's also a goofball. Oh, and he tends not to take everything seriously.
• He's also seen as arrogant and full of tastes, and values beauty over all else.
• Somewhat old fashioned, with traditions going back to feudal Japan era (and probably even older than that.)
• Is an artistic person with multiple talents of his own, both in new and old kinds of art. (Or so he claims.)
• Likes to collect antique items.
• He likes to think of himself as a great warrior, which he uses more often than not to flirt with the girls around him. He has an inner chivalrous side when it comes to women, though, which helps.
• His ultimate dream is to be liked by many hot chicks.
• Jealous at Kaito for having "so many girls" and as such considers him his rival of sorts.
• Speaks in keigo (a form of polite Japanese speech), especially when talking to young girls around him.
• In particular, he constantly tries to try his charm on Luka and he seemingly failed each time, which makes him more determined.
• His sisters pretty much ships him with Luka.
• His sword is said to serve some musical function. How exactly it worked are never revealed. Some said that it's actually a mystical ancient sword that is passed down through his ancestry. He never confirms this.
• Forms the "Brotherhood of Internet Co" along with, well, the rest of the Internet Co. Vocaloids. In particular, Gumi and Ryuto are his little siblings, while Lily, CUL and newcomer Galaco are adopted ones.
• In particular, he becomes a different kind of man when it comes to his siblings - he's strict and serious, but particularly protective.
• (When rendered to Japanese) Gumi and Ryuto call him "Gaku-nii" or "Nii-san" while Lily and CUL call him "aniki".
• Took VY1 and VY2 under his wing. He considers them as siblings to each other, though they're actually not related... Or are they?
• Forms the "Nasu" (eggplant) part of VanaN'Ice.
• Has a genderbent version called Gakuko.

6. Luka: 20 years old (this is canon)
Item: and sometimes
General personality:

• Calm, morally strong, hardworking, sociable and reserved. As such, she's seen by the younger loids as a big sister figure.
• She tends to exude some mysterious aura around her. Mostly coming from her tendency of hiding her personal problems to herself. Because something bad happened in the past, most likely.
• She likes reading books, and she's shown to be quite an intellectual person.
• Often makes snide remarks about people around her and points out people's mistakes.
• Is getting quite annoyed on Gakupo's constant advances. A tsundere that she is, she tries to deny her own developing feelings for him. For a good reason: see "Just be Friends".
  
  • Will she managed to endure it, or finally succumb to her feelings? Go google it.
  
  
  • Just my joke: So about her joke of being "two-sided" isn't really wrong after all. Some fans also portray her as yandere, though I don't.
• She's implied to be a half-breed as well.
• Tends to show her nerdy side when talking about fishes, particularly tunas.
• Awkward around Kiyoteru for some reason. He's just taking this professionally.
• Talks with the English Vocaloids quite often, though she has trouble talking with complex terms. As such she often helped other Vocaloids to talk to the English ones. Her English is also quite accented.
• Teaches English to her Crypton comrades in her spare time. Miku's slowly catching up; the others still have a long way to go.
• Some people considers Ruko (of UTAU) to be Luka's rival. Both kinda don't care.
• Has a genderbent version called Luki, sometimes called Luke or Lukas. Lukas is quite okay for me, I think

7. Gumi: 18-19 years old (young, but at least looks older than Miku); probably older by her V3 release.
Item:
General personality: Gotta need help for this one.

• She looks and acts like normal, cheery girls out there... But when the time comes, she shows her tomboyish side and kicks ass.
• Optimistic and carefree, but not hyperactive (at least, not as much as Miki or Rin).
• Can be clumsy and/or childish at times.
• Tends to think outside of the box and telling weird jokes.
• Nobody knows what Gumi's goggles are for, and as such, it's one of her greatest mysteries.
• Shown to have some kind of "dark side". Or rather, "insane side". Or maybe even multiple different layers or sides... it's quite confusing. Her carefree side is the most dominant though, which she uses to hide her true feelings. (they are all loose references from her songs)
• Continuously rooting for and idolizes Gakupo, her "big brother" figure.
• A closet otaku. Often also implied to be a closet hipster or closet gun fetishist as well.
• She gets to know VY2 through Gakupo and she sometimes goes along with him. Their relationship is still questioned, though...
• Sometimes she's shown petting bunnies.
• Frequently confused for Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier because of their similar designs and voice actors.
• BFFs with Sonika.
• Has a genderbent version called Gumo/Gumiya. (Although I would call him "Megupo")

8. Miki: Not sure if official, but the newest info (mostly from her 2012 redesign) states that she only looks 14 years old, but implied to be much older.
Item:
General personality: In short, perhaps half-unintentionally, I make her resembling Kirby from the Kirby games and the anime Kirby of The Stars.

• Childish, girly, chaotic, alien. The basics, there goes.
• She's frequently shown to be absent-minded as well.
• A cyborg-like entity (the cyborg part is canon) made from outer space technology, she literally fell from the sky at one night like a shooting star. Why and how she comes is never known.
• As such, once she meets people, she had hard time blending in the society. Only when she met other Vocaloids did she start to learn, and even only barely. Kiyoteru, in particular, helped the most.
• Always curious of the things around her.
• Does not know her own strength, and tends to break things around her when she's having too much fun.
• Can speak with telepathy. It is implied that she can't speak Japanese (or at least only learned a little), but people only heard so with the help of this telepathy.
• Finds a bunch of cherries at one point; she liked how they look, and she thinks that they looked like her head. As such she liked to play with cherries. One day she accidentally swallowed one, and, while she liked the taste, she felt like she ate "one of her friends" and became sad as a result. Though she's still tempted to eat one of them every once in a while.
• Her oddly-shaped strand of hair usually signifies her curious/ditzy state of mind (it looked like a question mark). It can change shape when she's happy, angry, surprised etc.
• Despite all her childishness, she'll react in a surprisingly awesome way when she or the people close to her is in danger. After all the kickass, she always seems to forget what she did. Automatic self-defense programming, perhaps?
• Attached with Piko, presumably because he "looked like her" and she's curious about him. Piko just tends to shrug her off. She's started to become close to newcomer Akikoroid as well.
• Thinks that Ritsu (of UTAU) is also a cyborg like her, and a real female. Conversely, he thinks Miki is a guy.
• In recent events, she somehow projected an image by her own, from her own eye, an image that looks like a blueprint. Which shows a glimpse of a more advanced-looking Miki, complete with energy wings.
• Has a genderbent version called Mikiya/Mikio. I prefer the former.

9. Kiyoteru: 22 years old (according to Ice Mountain booklet)
Item: Either a cup of coffee, or the book that he holds (which I believed to be )
General personality: Note that he's considered the Vocaloid with the most canon things. Source mostly from www.vocaloidism.com/2011/09/02… ; I gotta copypasta the more important things. The rest you can see there

• Hiyama (氷山, "ice mountain") Kiyoteru, otherwise known as Teru. A primary school teacher, he's also vocalist for the rock band ICE MOUNTAIN during his free time. Upbeat rock songs and shouting are his strong points, but he personally likes ballads too.
• Earnest and sincere, easy going and likes to do things at his own pace, and is a herbivorous (TN: a slang term that refers to males who act kindly, are family-oriented, and don't "predate" women). Somewhat shilly-shally.
• Easily influenced by other people, weak when confronted to the kind of pressure Hiyama Akito can put on him.
• Cares a lot about children.
• Is bad at live events such as moshing and diving.
• Never had a relationship with a girl.
  
  • (personal note) Although I personally pair him with Mew... Well I can say that Mew is his "first love" (perhaps not romantically) after several years, lol. Well, and there's the rumor that he was in a deep relationship with Luka (in her Just Be Friends song).
• When he takes his glasses off, his personality changes and he becomes a cool guy! But he can't do it for an extended period of time because it causes him severe eyestrain.
• Hobby: Singing.
• (He also has some info about his childhood through his adulthood, which I won't cover here.)
• His genderbent version is called Kiyomi.

10. Yuki: 9 years old (confirmed canon)
Item:
General personality: I... somewhat need some help here.

• Think a typical 9-years old kid - playful, innocent, cheery.
• She can be hardworking, though. Oh, and at times, adventurous and bold.
• She, Miki, Iroha and newcomer Yukari (as well as the Voiceroids) lives in a small house behind Kiyoteru's, which functions as an orphanage of sorts. (yes, in my story, the kids are all orphans.)
  
  • This is also a throwback to Kiyoteru being raised in an orphanage himself (not listed up there, but it's canon).
• As such, she attends the school Kiyoteru teaches in.
• She's often referred to as "one of the Voiceroids". While she can relate to them, she understandably denied it.
• Good in maths.
• Frequently sharing apples with the young neighbor Gachapoid/Ryuto. She's also one of the few people who calls his dinosaur form "cute".
• Some time after Mew's debut and having a new home, Yuki (long story) declares Mew as her mommy figure and Kiyoteru as the daddy. The other Vocaloids' responses range from "hope you all go along together" to small giggles (as Mew blushes and Teru laughs awkwardly).
• Frequently has to clean the other kids' mess. Fortunately nowadays, oftentimes there's Mew to help her.
• Her genderbent version is called Yuuki/Yukito.

11. Lily: 21-22 years old
Item: Either bees (and thus, honey), or a road crossing sign.
General personality: I might borrow some from Trish from Devil May Cry, though not all of them.

• Basically, she's outgoing and punkish.
• Obsessed with honey.
• Many people criticizes her outfit choice as awkward or that she "needs to cover more", even some other Vocaloids think so. She just doesn't care.
• Has an old partner named Mosh. The two formed a music group together long before she got adopted to the Internet Co Brotherhood; they still make contacts from time to time.
• Holds her stepsiblings in high regard.
• A biker girl. When she's not having any business, she often does some fast rides. Her somewhat benign fetish for road crossing signs is partly factored from this.
• Often makes witty, if a bit snide and harsh, remarks about people and situation around her.
• Though she likes to flirt with some guys, particularly those who are brave enough to ask her for dates... She's secretly a (stalking carnivorous) lesbian. (You see what I do here? )
• Tends to bicker a lot with CUL.
• She was advertised with an animated movie, "Schwarzgazer", depicting her and Mosh as secretly fighting a mysterious dark "virus" force that they must combat with their music. Failure to produce music results in weakness, which almost deletes Lily and Mosh before a nearby music producer, Yakuto, saves them by supplying them with music. So does that make Lily a sort of undercover superhero?
• Gets confused and curious whenever Rio comes to meet Iroha; she claimed that Rio reminded her of her younger self.
• Rumored to have a real blood sister (or maybe, a lesbian partner) called Luna, though it's still debated till now. Luna does appear sometimes to meet Lily.
• Recently finds Merli as a good target. Yes, a tsundere, life-sucking 16 cm-tall fairy. Her reaction was just
• Her genderbent version is called Li or Lilio.

12. VY1 Mizki: I'm kinda not sure if I should give her an age (because this is a "serious product", you know what I mean), but I think she's about 16-17.
Item: A folding fan and/or a hairclip
General personality: Note that I'm not expecting her to get so much, if she does get much anyway.

• Sweet, gentle and caring. Basically, she followed the traditional way of "yamato nadeshiko" (aka classical Japanese beauty).
• Said fan and hairclip are mystical in nature, presumedly containing the spirit of a legendary singer from long ago.
• Her "true form" is said two artifacts; those artifacts project an illusion to anyone who looks at them in the form of a young girl wearing kimono. How exactly she looked like, however, somehow varies between the person who see it.
  
  • Said girl are often believed to be how the legendary singer looked like long ago; however, the fact that she could look different gives evidence to the contrary.
• The artifacts were abducted by an unknown archeologist team, and were auctioned and traded for a time (and was used briefly as an A.I of sorts for a certain singing android) before Gakupo got his hand on them. After that, she manifested as a human; she revealed her real name (her trade name was VY1), and she said that she's tired of "going here and there" and asked Gakupo for taking care of them (the artifacts, I mean), noting that he's "a good enough person" to do so. He agreed.
• Practically only the other Vocaloids knew that she's actually an artifact. Or is it?
• Speaks in keigo almost all the time.
• From the remarks she gives to other people, it's said that she was a good dancer. As well as a geisha in-training (technically a "maiko").
  
  • It's thought that she's the one who influenced Gakupo's fan dancing; his self-branded dance in "Dancing Samurai" is believed to be originated from Mizki's own, with modifications.
  
  
  • Likes to play occasional teasing; she said that it's a part of her geisha training. It rarely works, however; only a few among her close peers (including, naturally, Gakupo) can appreciate her beauty. Others, no matter how differently people look at her, said she just looked plain. (Loose reference from one of her original songs)
• As she came from a long time ago, she has an ancient way of thinking and talking, and only slowly learning about the technology and culture customs nowadays. As such, she can sometimes be awkward.
• Not confirmed to have a "genderbent" version. Logically, the concept of gender isn't applicable to her, lol. If she does have one, though, the genderbent may be called "Mizke".

13. Ryuto: As Gachapin himself is said to be eternally 5 years old, so is Ryuto.
Item: A green bell pepper
General personality: Again, I kinda don't have much for him.

• He has 2 forms: His real form (a cartoonish bucktoothed dino), and his humanoid form.
• Taken from general outlines of Gachapin himself (well, technically, Wikipedia ):
  
  • His catch-phrase that he uses to introduce himself is "Gacha, Gachapin pin, I am Gachapin". (Yup, he still emulates the original Gachapin's quote.)
  
  
  • Initially shy and easy-going, Gachapin evolved into an adventurous character and went on to attempt skiing, rock climbing, hang-gliding, scuba diving, karate, gymnastics, bowling, and figure skating, as well as an adventure in a space craft.
  
  
  • He has great interest in environmental problems and enthusiasm for space crafts.
  
  
  • He has seven energy balls on each wrist that are the source of his bravery and power, and his phenomenal reflexes come from the carbohydrates inside these balls. Since his human form only has 3 on each arm, however, they don't bring as much effect whenever he's using that form.
• Rivals Rin, Yuki and Iroha for their determined spirits.
• Can relate better to Gumi & Gakupo since they're his natural siblings. Though he's still kind and supportive towards his adopted sisters as well.
• Many ppl called his dinosaur form as ugly. Though he doesn't care much, he still feels the need for the humanoid form.
• Likes to play along with Nigaito, one of Kaito's "siblings".
• Likes to collect little toys that he got from gashapons. (see what I did there?)
• He isn't reported to have a genderbent version, but I'll call it "Ryuko".

14. Iroha: About 10-11 years old (though a few people said that she may have a case of delayed growth and may be older than she looks)
Item: A strawberry. Or any Hello Kitty merchandise.
General personality:

• A girly, cheerful & determined kid.
• She can either be seen with her normal attire (with a large helmet and big speakers on her hands) or her Kittyler attire.
• A hello kitty fangirl, likes to collect Hello Kitty-related items. Also a minor fan of Mega Man.
• Due to having a deep voice and somewhat brash personality, she's often called a tomboy. She tends to respond angrily to that. Then again, how could a girl who likes Hello Kitty be a tomboy anyway
• The speakers encasing her hands are called Dynamic-Phonon Buster. The other set of speakers are called Chorus-speaker, each of these move around, supporting her. The floating microphone collects her voice and Annouce Booth, which is on her head, works as an amplifier and divides the sound into three classes for the speakers, according to its range; the sound for tweeters, mid-range speakers and woofers. • Fancies herself to be a "hero of justice". Indeed, she used her equipments to do good and help people... On relatively menial tasks (such as singing to a crying baby). However, she does manage to find some awesome uses of her speakers, sometimes.

15. Piko: 15 years old (looks cute, but a bit older than Len)
Item: I'm thinking of... a garlic or an onion. Dunno why, maybe it's his hair. Alternately, a white guitar.
General personality: Somewhat needs help here.

• A brooding, shy kid who doesn't find much enjoyment in life. At least, it looked like so.
• Likes to be left alone.
• Often rumored to be a failed Miki clone, or even her Voyakiloid. Mostly coming from his looks. Nobody really knows, not even himself.
• In particular, he seems to be forgetful about his past. Or... something. He's not telling.
• Can sound either male-ish or female-ish. Combined with his ambiguous design choice and androgynous look, many people can sometimes be tricked with his suddenly female voice.
• His USB tail is used to recharge himself, and/or taking some datas from computers.
• Quite proficient in guitar.
• Often a target of Miki or Yukari (or sometimes Iroha)'s hijinks. In particular, many young, female Vocaloids seem to be close to him for some reason.
• Beneath that shyness, lies a high amount of, if not encyclopaedic, knowledge. Mostly coming from regularly getting informations from internets, and the fact that he can save a large amount of data. As a rare occurence as it is, his knowledge often comes in handy, either for himself or for his comrades.
• Rumored to be older than he looks.
• His genderbent version is called either Piku or Pika.

16. VY2 Yuuma: Same case as Mizki, but I bet that he's around 21-22
Item: His own sword
General personality: Technically I prepared many things for him, but I decided to make it short; detailing it would require me to make a new essay (or a fanfic).

• He and his sword are one and the same, as they contain parts of the same soul.
  
  • A group of scientists bonded the mystical sword with a cyborg body, apparently as an experiment of bringing an old consciousness with a great voice back to life. Said guy was, apparently, a ninja. Oh, and it's actually not the first time this happened.
  
  
  • After running away from the scientists and many other mishaps, he got to fight Gakupo in the way and then he realizes that Gakupo reminds him of his old master from long ago; Gakupo's sword also happens to be his master's own. Gakupo just decides to go along with what Yuuma insisted.
  
  
  • Speaking of which, I said earlier that Gakupo likes to think that he's a great warrior - and then VY2 revealed that Gakupo's ancestors were great warriors themselves. Only the two (and VY1) know this fact, though.
• As a ninja, he was trained to be aloof and ruthless and shove away his emotions. As such he can't respond to people's emotions well when it matters.
• Speaks in keigo, like Gakupo and VY1 do.
• Tends to talk things straight and generally being serious in any context, which leads to him being brutally honest at times. Also refers to relatively small tasks as "missions" or something similar.
• Like Mizki, he has troubles with today's advancements.
• Gumi calls him "Roro" based on the cyborg model's number (she thinks it's some kind of tattoo), and she tells other people about said name.
• Only Gakupo and VY1 know that he's actually a ninja, as well as his illusive, true apperance from his past life, and his real name. Gakupo just tells him to use the name "Roro" as an alias.
• He gets to personally know Mizki; it's unknown whether he has already known her in the past or not, but the fact that she talks in an ancient Japanese accent (and so does Gakupo) makes him comfortable.
• Out of all of Gakupo's siblings, Gumi seems to be quite close around him, for some reason. As a part of her "uniting people" project, Yukari also tends to bump into him.
• Despite being calm, he has a poetic side in him - he likes to make poems and his talks, however short or irritating it is, has a high sense of wit and elegance. (Since he comes from old Japan era, this is quite understandable.)
• Like Gakupo, he has a latent sense of chivalry when it comes to protecting women. As such, many female Vocaloids, particularly the young ones, are attracted to him. He doesn't care much, other than for their safety (again, influenced by the old Japanese views), unlike the lecherous Gakupo.
• His genderbent version is called Yumi. I think "Yuuka" can make a good alternative, but it's OK either way

17. Mew: Around 22-23 years old
Item: A catnip? (for her cat)
General personality: (Note that since she's still a new addition, I don't have much for her. Same case for the ones below this one, excluding the ones who have canon personalities)

• Elegant, mature and womanly.
• She tends to be aloof, but she's a really nice woman once you get past it. Somewhat like Kiyoteru in reverse: She's cool and dark with that shades on, but nice and affable without it.
• Speaking of Teru: She once stated that, before joining the Vocaloids, she only know him as an admirable, crazy, charismatic singer in his band. Upon meeting him in person, she noted that she's actually quite affable.
• In particular, all other Vocaloids tend to see her as somewhat weird, at least in looks.
• Her cat's named Sabami. Said cat tends to be an object of adoration among other Vocaloids, particularly other cat lovers SeeU and Iroha.
• Often mistaken as an off-colored Miriam or Lily. Mew admitted that she does see the similarities. At least she views Miriam as a relatable friend.
• Likes to talk with other "seniors". She's the closest of the Vocaloid3's to the old Vocaloids for this reason.
• Spends her off-time voluntarily helping Yuki and family in their house chores.
• Has a genderbent version; I called it "Mew2". (see what I did here?)

18. Rion: 16 years old (this is canon)
Item: Probably, a waitress' tray
General personality:

• Kind and innocent. She's practically based on the moe stereotype. (May or may not contain some hidden bad side, though...)
• Tends to act younger than she is.
• She can sometimes be absent-minded.
• Likes to express her feelings freely and generally holds no hatred towards everyone.
• Likes bunnies. (Taken from her name)
• She can be quite a heavy sleeper. (also taken from her name)
• Her brief backstory states that she was born in 2095, she is good at singing and dancing. Rion performs on the "Dear Stage" (ディアステージ) located in future Akihabara set 100 years from the current time. (this one is canon)
• Works as a waitress in her spare time. Indeed, she started working as a waitress before she got one lucky chance of becoming a singer that she is now.
• Rumor has it said that she's actually a robot, or at least part robotic. It still remains a mystery.
• Was a Vocaloid fan before she joined the fray. Even until now she still tends to fangirl at them on every opportunity. For a good reason: "In my time, you guys are a legend! You wouldn't know how much I'm excited from seeing you in person!"
• In particular, she tends to talk about the future a lot.
• Her genderbent version is called Rian/Lyon.

19. CUL: Around 19-20 years old
Item: A chili pepper and/or a zippo lighter
General personality:

• Tough, wild and rebellious. I kinda pictured her as a "rebellious teenage boy in female body."
• Often looks down on people who she thinks are "lesser" than her. Once you prove yourself good enough, however, she's a really great friend to have.
• There are only a few people she respects, but she's fiercely protective to all of them.
• Likes to play guitar and the hard rock-type music.
• She's more brilliant and thoughtful than she lets on; she just prefers dozing around than doing heavy work.
• Always stands up for what she wanted.
• Sees Meiko as a big sister figure, even more than her Internet Co siblings. (though of course she still cares for them)
• I kinda have a small story about how she and Big Al would hook up, but to sum it up: Girl meets boy who seems similar to her. Girl tests boy, boy gets challenged, both competes to a draw, girl shows respect to boy, and one thing led to another...
  
  • Even so, CUL kinda doesn't like Big Al's childish antics, and he doesn't like her jerky attitude. The relationship is best described as "kiss-kiss-slap".
• Often mistaken as Black Rock Shooter.
• Kinda tired of "you got a nice CUL right there" (or something similar) jokes; whenever there's someone who brings up that joke again (intentionally or otherwise), she beats that person into a bloody pulp.
• Sometimes reminisces about having an old partner named REV. Also hinted to be a sweeter girl in the past. What makes her into a girl she is now is unknown.
• Whenever she heard Mizki's or Yuuma's voice, she thinks that she has heard that kind of voice long ago... In particular, "Roro" reminds her of REV a lot.
• In particular, the older Vocaloids have known her since her (and REV's) show on TV long ago. When she was introduced to the other Vocaloids as a new partner, they notice that she has become a different person.
• Her genderbent version is called LUC.

20. Yukari: 16-18 years old
Item: Doesn't have anything specific, but her belongings tend to have a moon motif.
General personality: "She unites you all with her voice". Such words can be easily interpreted into things... Unless it's an irony. Which I don't like, anyway.

• Friendly, cheerful, talkative, hyper, somewhat airheaded but can still be rational.
• Can be friends with pretty much everyone. Or at least she tries to.
• Likes night times and watching the moon on the night sky. Many people joked that she's actually a moon rabbit or somesuch; she just laughs.
• Likes to play matchmaker and also tends to make an intricate plan on matching 2 people (or three, or more) together, regardless of sex, nationality or race.
• Also tends to unwittingly ruin people's dates.
• She's the closest to the Voiceroids because, well, she's one herself.
• Hates to be alone.
• She often drags around ppl who are (seemingly) gloomy or not sociable and try to "unite" them all. Including, but not limited to: Luka, Piko, VY2, Len (to an extent)
• Is a bisexual and she's not afraid to show it off.
• Forms the "Raving Rabbits" group which consists of her, Rion (although unwillingly, sorta) and Mayu. Sometimes she also pulled Gumi or Rin in for the fun.
• Her genderbent version is called Yukoto.

21. IA: 16-17 years old... or is it?
Item: No idea yet
General personality: Really need help here

• A gentle, honest and somewhat naive girl.
• Always carries a sad look, but she can be genuinely happy and show her smile.
• Wants to have friends, but she's a bit shy. Yukari knows this well, and thus she tends to drag IA around.
• Has an idealistic view of the world.
• Pretty much an innocent person who doesn't like making/giving troubles.
• She's optimistic and she carries a hidden strong will.
• She sometimes talks about nonsensical things and she's also thinks every other people knows what she's saying - she can be really "out there".
• Implied to be a "fallen angel" of sorts. In particular, her fans said that she has "a voice of an angel".
• Her genderbent version is called IAN.

22. Lapis: Around 15-16 years old in looks, though her actual age is unknown (kinda hard to pinpoint a fairy's growth and thus, age)
Item: A shard of lapis lazuli
General personality: She had a number of canon things on her.

• A fairy who doesn't remember about her past.
• In general, fairies like her are able to convert music into power. They are also only visible to a subset of human population.
• In particular, her singing can give life to others.
• She and her big sister are polar opposites and enemies. (the ones below this one are my creation)
• She's generally kind, helpful and sweet.
• Always curious about the things happened around her. Partly because she's a fairy, partly because she had amnesia.
• She's only enemies with her sister because she thinks what her sister does is bad.
• She only knows that she has a big sister from Merli herself.
• Often mistaken for a female Kaito. Kaiko always comments on this.
• Naturally attracted to the other Vocaloids because of their profession.
• She (and Merli) can understand what Luo Tianyi says, better than other people do, due to their nature.
• ...Can you suggest something for the genderbent name??

23. Akikoroid-chan: 16-17 years old
Item: Her barcode scanner
General personality: She's different from the others, by the fact that she's a private voicebank.

• Kind, clever, professional and caring. Pretty much what you'd expect from a good cashier.
• Yes, she primarily works as the cashier in her own konbini. ("Convenience store")
• She becomes an online singer (aka utaite) in her spare time, and she's quite popular in the net.
• Her contract is a bit different than other Vocaloids in that while the others are free to work with any P they want, she can only work with a designated P that her manager has asked. Nevertheless, her songs are mostly good.
• Loves her konbini so much that she almost never leaves it. Yes, it's also her home.
• She only interacts with other Vocaloids from the internet, or when they come to the konbini itself to buy things.
• She's also part of Yukari's hijinks - she tries to pull Akiko outta the konbini to enjoy the surroundings, which fails most of the time.
• Obsessed with order, cleanness and tidiness in everything she sees, sometimes to hilarious extents.
• Will not tolerate pickpockets and store robbers.
• Her genderbent name is Akizoroid. (Was going to say "Akitoroid" but there's already someone called Akito... Wait a sec, possible OTP? )

24. Galaco: 19-20 years old
Item: IDK yet, but maybe a pair of shutter glasses
General personality: I kinda make her a bit like CUL... but only on certain things (while I got the other half from )

• A lazy, somewhat narcissistic hipster. Almost always seem bored.
• Like many hipsters are, she's a "rebel" to the society... though not as violently as CUL is.
• Thinks of herself as special and awesome... People around her (and her stepsiblings in particular) tend to get annoyed sometimes.
• Sometimes calls people by nicknames. (eg Miku = "leek chick", Luka = "octopus", etc.)
• Almost always sounds lazy when talking and singing. (Taken from her flat voice.) It's just part of her big ego trip.
• Likes starry nights and astronomical things. She and Yukari tends to hang out together because of this.
• A mainstream hater - though she tends to be silent about it.
• Her motto: "You can't be as awesome as me, kid! Because your awesomeness comes from yourself! Remember that!"
• Tends to modify her looks (by adding scarfs, hats, different jackets etc) and almost never uses the same accessories twice. (Except for her default ones that is.)
• Hinted to be sweeter and/or troubled beneath her behavior.
• Only offers her voice job to people who she thinks are as awesome as she is. (Taken from the 1000 PV contest)
• Her genderbent version is called Galacto (I was considering the name "Galaccio" but that sounds too odd and somewhat Italian... but kinda fitting with my view of her lol.)

25. Mayu: 15 years old (this is canon)

General personality:

• A yandere, that's for sure. Outwardly sweet, if a bit diabetical (dunno if it's the right word lol), but the inside is... different.
• Can play piano well.
• Sometimes she talks with her doll. She claims that it can speak. Nobody knows for sure...
• She can easily get frustrated, but she can hide it well.
• She gets to know the Crypton and Internet kin well because they have worked many times with her creator, Exit Tunes.
• She's among the only ones who can appreciate Galaco's "awesomeness".
• Interested on the jokes of Luka being "2-sided".
• She secretly has a crush on... someone? She isn't telling, but yes, she does have a crush.
• She can be really assertive on a lot of things, though she tends to make it subtle.
• Sometimes she can say disturbing things, only to forget what she said.
• When nobody's around, she tends to beat up her own plush toy, pretending it to be the object she's angry about... only to be sorry right after for hurting her beloved toy.
• Oh, and in particular, her other belongings and her room, pretty they might be, have some cut marks on it.
• Unknown from other people, aside from the axe, she got plenty of other dangerous items hidden in her closet.
• Yukari and Rion like to play with her plush bunny.
• Her genderbent's name is Mayoku or Mayuhiko (I liked the latter better)

26. Ueki-loid: 80 years old (well, that's his age when he died; though I might alter it into his 30s or 40s when he's still in his singing career)

General personality: Please wait while I crib some notes from the internet

• A ghost of Hitoshi Ueki brought back to life.
• In his prime as a comedian, he often played the role of a cheerful, energetic but irresponsible salaryman. Thus I pictured Ueki-loid that way too
• He sometimes can also act like one of his other film roles.
• He was once a guitarist in his jazz band. Piko sometimes looks up to him.
• He now acts as a funny, kind grandpa figure of the Vocaloids. Though he rarely interacts with them as he lives far away from them.
• Being reborn as a Vocaloid, he's a bit confused about "these idols nowadays". He just makes jokes out of it, which many other Vocaloids found funny. (Reference to the fact that Vocaloids grew popular between his death and "reborn", and that most of them looks anime.)
• Frequently tells stories about the past times. He tends to have it mixed up with his film roles...
• Dunno if I should get him a girl version.

27. Ring: 17 years old (confirmed canon)

29. Merli: She's definitely "older" than Lapis, but I can't be sure about her age. Though I can assume that she's about 17-18 in looks.
