Tolerance

EDIT: I can't believe what I just saw... 15K view in a day?
Not to brag or anything, but I'm not used to this kind of thing.

That being said, though, I kinda feel bad of this having far more views than it deserves. I mean, people, there are many better things in my gallery to check out, so go there. Shameless advertising lol /shot

TOLERANCE: it's simple as that.

Well, in theory, that is. In practice, this ranges from simple to mind-numbingly difficult. There are also things that tolerance doesn't cover.

<sub>In particular, something is harmful to others or oneself, regardless of enjoying it or not, it's not acceptable to let it happen.

It gets even more complicated after that because it's not just related to obvious things such as murder, rape or any other criminal atrocities. There are a lot of people with disorders or mental health issues, even if they don't look like they have any problems at all, who can be severely damaged because they try hard to tolerate something that causes them panic/anxiety/OCD attacks or worse.</sub>

And to state the obvious, tolerance deals with opinions rather than facts.

The expanded version of this is:

<sub>1. I don't like "X", but I'm OK if you do. Unless when you call me a "freaky hater" or something like that.
2. I like "Y", but I'm OK if you don't. Unless when you call me a "freaky faggot" or something like that.
3. Just don't bug me about X and Y above.
4. If my views become different than yours, let's have a mutual, peaceful disagreement.
5. An addition from our buddy *irrenderNarr42 - Tolerance: I don't mind what you do. Indifference: I don't care what you do. - One can be indifferent while being intolerant, and vice versa.</sub>

But if you can already understand those in the image, congrats, you've understood the basics of tolerance.

As somebody said, "Tolerance and apathy are two last virtues of a dying society." (I'm not sure who said it, since different sources said different things.) BTW, the third point above is more about apathy than tolerance, actually.
